WHAT IS HOT VULCANIZATION OF RUBBER?
Hot vulcanization of rubber is a process where we combine pressure and heat in one of our many autoclaves. The process changes the structure of the raw rubber from a sticky and soft material to an elastic, dimensionally stable and durable rubber coating with a dry surface.
The main reason we specialize in hot vulcanization of rubber is that the method can also be used to bond rubber to another item. When rubber is hot vulcanized on either aluminum, metal or steel, it achieves an unsurpassed bond/adhesion. In fact, the bond is so strong that it is stronger than the material itself, giving the finished rubber solution exceptional wear resistance and durability.
WHY CHOOSE HOT VULCANIZATION?
If the rubber is not hot vulcanized but glued to another material such as aluminum, metal or steel, the rubber risks losing its adhesion over time. Once the rubber has lost its adhesion, it can start to crack or move, reducing the function and efficiency of the application. Heat vulcanizing the rubber, on the other hand, gives it an unmatched adhesion that is stronger than the material itself.
